Sewing Crew

Use your sewing skills to repair, repurpose, and create items from donated materials. This role supports a variety of projects that help prepare goods for guests. 

Sewing volunteers help by: 

  • Repairing & repurposing linens and other donated textiles 
  • Creating placemats, napkins, cleaning kits, and other sewn items 
  • Assisting with additional sewing projects as needed 

Who this is a good fit for: 

  • Volunteers with advanced or beginner sewing experience 
  • People who enjoy hands-on, detail-oriented creative work 
  • Those who like project-based tasks and seeing tangible results 

HOURS: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 8:30am to 12:00pm  

*Please note Fridays do not have guest services and are often project days. This department may not be available if a core volunteer is unavailable to train you on safety and orientation.
