Repair, refinish, and repurpose donated wood items so they are safe, functional, and ready for guests. This role focuses on hands-on project work to prepare furniture and other wood items for guests. 

Woodworking volunteers help by: 

  • Repairing wood furniture and items 
  • Repurposing donated wood items as needed 
  • Using power tools and equipment safely and appropriately 

Who this is a good fit for: 

  • Volunteers with woodworking experience or are creatively inclined 
  • People who enjoy hands-on, project-based work 
  • Those comfortable using power tools and a loud working environment  

HOURS: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 8:30am to 12:00pm 

*Please note Fridays do not have guest services and are often project days. This department may not be available if a core volunteer is unavailable to train you on safety and orientation.
